Our Flexible Brush Seal is designed for gas expanders operating at high rotational speeds. The bristles are arranged along the rotation direction for optimal flexibility. Nickel-chromium superalloy bristles, 0.04–0.09 mm in diameter with a density of 110–170 bristles per square millimeter, form a micro-gap fit with the shaft. They automatically compensate for axial and radial runout, eliminating hard-contact friction and wear.
