Contact Seal

The Contact Seal achieves near-zero gap sealing. A flexible wear-resistant seal ring is gently pressed against the rotor by a spring. Unlike hard-contact seals, the soft material does not scratch the shaft while providing a tight fit. This reduces leakage dramatically, giving customers a high-efficiency, safe solution.

Why Choose Our Contact Seal?

1. Almost Zero Gap for Maximum Efficiency

2. Automatically Adjusts to Rotor Movement

Rotor expansion and thermal deformation can create large gaps or rubbing in traditional seals. Our Contact Seal's elastic support automatically compensates for rotor runout and heat-induced changes. It maintains a consistently small gap during start-up, operation, and shutdown, solving common leakage and wear issues.

3. Self-Lubricating Materials for Safety and Longevity

The seal uses carbon graphite, reinforced polyimide, or other self-lubricating materials. These resist high temperatures and reduce friction. The seal works from -40°C to 650°C and up to 10 MPa. Leakage is 60% to 85% lower than traditional labyrinth seals, and friction temperature rise is safely limited to ≤ 80°C. Service life is 3 to 5 years.
